Ode To A Box

They gave me a box, it came flat-packed
I put it together, and it's still intact
Then they said "decorate it", make it look pretty
But creativity's lacking, so I'll write a short ditty

I'm not very "arty", and my pictures aren't good
But I'm making an effort to be understood
I'm more into labels, so my name's on the side
I hope you will see that I really have tried

I said to my friend, "what shall I do"
They want me to decorate, if only they knew"
My friend said "get real, they want personality
So do something different, show originality"

Here is my box, so pristine and bright
I hope my short ditty brings you some delight
It didn't take long to write this short verse
Although you might notice the rhyming gets worse
